Empowered Networks employee, Kym McIntyre, is a proud supporter of her community. Most recently, she jumped at the chance to support her close friend, Pete Slater, in his effort to help fight childhood cancer. Committed to help fight this terrible disease, Pete biked an impressive 302km and raised over $3,100 as a participant in the Great Cycle Challenge Canada! As a SickKids Foundation national fundraising initiative, the Great Cycle Challenge has grown to be one of Canada’s largest cycling events in just four short years. Since its inception, a committed community of riders have collectively ridden 10,294,551 kilometers, and raised over $12M in support of research to develop treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer. Empowered Networks was pleased to match Kym’s monetary contribution and support Pete’s efforts to further support this great cause. Way to go Pete and Kym!
